Purpose / Objectives	1. Development of transgenic lines of rice by Agrobacterium mediated transformation. 2. Evaluation of transgenic lines in contained conditions for trait expression and molecular/morphological/phenological characterization.
Biosafety measures	All experimental work to be carried out in DOST-BC approved labs and glass houses at IRRI. Restricted access and movement of transgenic materials. Storage of transgenic seeds in a dedicated transgenic seed storage facility, and proper disposition of excess transgenic plant materials.
